Since 2019, Haemers Technologies has completed 41 FPIE programs with Bruxelles Formation. This initiative not only trains future employees in complex, patented technologies but also allows both parties to assess the fit before a definitive hiring.
For Céline Charlier, HR manager, FPIE has become "almost the only solution for us in terms of recruitment." She highlights the financial benefit for the employer, viewing FPIE as a "good stepping stone between training and the employment contract."
FPIE serves as an intermediate step that secures the recruitment process for both the employer and the future employee. It allows each to verify, in a real-world situation, that the collaboration is sustainable through an in-house training period.
The company's satisfaction also stems from the quality of candidates from Bruxelles Formation's training centers. Tadek, a welder at Haemers Technologies, exemplifies this synergy: after his welding training at BF Technics, a visit to Haemers Technologies allowed him to discover the company and subsequently start an FPIE. "FPIE allowed me to see if I fit the company's values. There are fewer stakes than with a real contract. It allowed me to truly evaluate if I wanted to continue with this company," he states.
Mentored by a sponsor, Tadek completed his six-month FPIE before being hired on a permanent contract. This approach enables employers and future employees to take the time to get to know each other, train, and confirm their choice before hiring, thus contributing to building a durable team.
