As part of the Company Discovery Day (JDE), IBA's assembly hall in Louvain-la-Neuve will open its doors to the public on Sunday, October 4th. This event will offer a glimpse into the future of medicine, highlighting the company's technological advancements.
IBA, employing approximately 2,300 people and certified as a B Corp since 2021, is globally recognized for its particle acceleration technologies. The company develops cutting-edge solutions for healthcare, particularly in cancer treatment through proton therapy. Despite its international presence, IBA maintains a strong connection to Wallonia.
IBA's growth is part of a dynamic innovation ecosystem supported by Wallonia. The company has collaborated with the competitiveness clusters BioWin (biotechnology and health) and MecaTech (mechanical engineering and advanced industrial technologies). These clusters, backed by the SPW Économie Emploi Recherche, foster synergies between companies, universities, and research centers to accelerate innovation and bring new technologies to market.

During this special day, visitors will be able to discover the manufacturing and assembly stages of particle accelerators used in cancer treatment. They will also gain insight into IBA's innovations in nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals, and medical sterilization.
