From February 1st to 12th, 2027, Wallonia will host the fourth edition of the Circular Economy Fortnight (QEC). This major event will feature a variety of activities including conferences, workshops, company visits, training sessions, and round tables, all aimed at fostering collaborations around the circular transition.
Since its launch in 2022, the QEC has become a key event, having already brought together over 5,000 participants and 154 events across its first three editions. The growing interest from businesses, public authorities, research centers, and economic actors highlights the importance of the circular economy.
This new edition aligns with Circular Wallonia 2.0, the Walloon strategy focused on accelerating circularity integration within four priority economic sectors. The goal is to enhance the competitiveness of Wallonia's economic fabric and support significant projects.
A call for events is currently open until November 2nd, 2026. Organizations wishing to contribute to the program are invited to submit their proposals, which can include company visits, workshops, webinars, or networking events.
The Fortnight will commence on February 1st, 2027, with a launch conference. Partner events will then take place from February 2nd to 12th. Participants will benefit from increased visibility through the communication channels of the Service public de Wallonie and its partners, thereby fostering networking and the sharing of best practices.
The launch conference, scheduled for Monday, February 1st, 2027, will provide a platform for discussions and debates on the challenges of the circular economy in Wallonia, concluding with a networking session. The event is coordinated by the Service public de Wallonie, Économie, Emploi, Recherche (EER).
