The Budget Department of Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) is looking for a Budget Coordination Attaché. This is a permanent contract for exceptional and temporary needs at level A6. Applications are expected by October 11, 2026, at the latest.
Within the Budget Department, you will participate in WBI's budget management. You will contribute to the implementation of budgetary processes, monitoring exercises, and commitment control, in close collaboration with department members and relevant services. Under the supervision of the Financial Director, you will be involved in producing financial analyses and reports to support decision-making, and in managing and monitoring budget-related projects.
The role involves coordinated work with various departments and active participation in discussions and meetings on budgetary matters. It is aimed at profiles with a strong interest in budgetary and financial matters and the ability to handle numerical data. Basic knowledge of budgetary principles, financial management, and office tools (especially Excel) is an asset. Dedicated training will be provided to progressively develop your technical skills.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the reliability of budget data, participating in the implementation of budgetary processes, supporting the production of financial analyses, rigorous monitoring of credits and commitments, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to the organization of work within the department.
Required basic knowledge includes general principles of budget and financial management, understanding the functioning of a public organization, proficiency in common office tools (Excel), and excellent command of French, both spoken and written. Technical skills in budget preparation, monitoring, control, financial data analysis, and reporting will be developed.
Employment conditions include holding a university-level diploma (Master's) allowing access to at least level A, good conduct, enjoyment of civil and political rights, and the required aptitudes for the function.
